If there is one stand out attraction about spending time in Chicago, it is that you will never be bored! There is always something to do in Chi City. Thats because of the CTA train line linking every part of downtown together and cutting your commute time substantially. There are some great restaurants on Chicago's North Side. Just off the Magnificent Mile is the famous Giordano's Italian pizzeria. It is so sought after, that there is a five hour waiting list just to get a table. If you have the patience, then you wont be sorry. It is regarded as some of the best tasting Pizza in the entire USA. Other great restaurants around the "Mile" include the Oak Street Beachstro. The Beachstro is located on one of Chicago's Twelve man made beaches. As soon as the sun comes out, the people flood to the beach and into the restaurant. The Beachstro also has a separate cocktail bar and shuffle board area for customers to enjoy. And after having a nice lunch, why not have a nice relaxing swim in the enormous Lake Michigan, just steps from the restaurant!
Sport:
Sport is very important to the people of Chicago. The variety of sports teams is quite unique. From the Bulls(Basketball), to Bears(American Football), to the Cubs/White Sox (Baseball). If you have a spare day in Chicago, there is nothing better than heading down to Wrigley Field on a sun drenched afternoon, soaking up the the atmosphere from the Chicago Cubs faithful. You are guaranteed a vastly entertaining day at the ball game, because when the cubs win, they really celebrate. With loads of sports bars surrounding Wrigley Field, you are spoiled for choice for great bars and fun! But if you want to see something special, then head down South Lake Shore Dr. to Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears. Soldier Field holds up to 68,000 spectators watching Chi Cities best football players going head to head with the best the NFL has to offer on a weekly basis!
Music and Entertainment:
Chicago is home to some of the finest jazz clubs in the Mid West, with the city holding regular jazz festivals each Summer in Grant Park. But if you like your music loud and hard, then you definitely need to pay a visit to Grant Park on the first weekend of August each year as Lollapalooza rolls into town. This three day music festival brings the best music acts for one weekend a year to rock Grant Park to the ground. This festival has seen the like of Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam, Daft Punk and Chicago's own Kanye West perform in the last few years.
